Profile Construction Manager – Refinery Revamp Project

Have you successfully led refinery revamp or turnaround projects in challenging operational environments? Do you have experience with fired heaters, reformers, and complex brownfield modifications?

We are looking for a Construction Manager to lead multidisciplinary construction and commissioning activities, ensuring the safe, timely, and successful delivery of complex refinery revamp works.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities throughout the refinery revamp project.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary construction teams across Static Equipment, Piping, Structural, and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, refinery procedures, and project quality standards.
  • Drive construction progress and maintain focus on safety, productivity, and schedule adherence.
  • Manage contractors, supervisors, and discipline leads to ensure effective execution of project activities.
  • Monitor project schedules, manpower, resource allocation, and construction performance.
  • Resolve technical and operational challenges in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Report progress, risks, and mitigation measures to project management.
  • Support mechanical completion activities and manage punch-list closure.
  • Coordinate closely with commissioning teams to ensure smooth system handovers.
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and asset handover activities.
  • Facilitate effective communication between construction and commissioning disciplines.

Requirements Construction Manager – Refinery Revamp Project

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager on refinery, petrochemical, or oil & gas projects.
  • Strong background in brownfield modifications, shutdowns, turnarounds, or refinery revamp projects.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary construction scopes, including Static Equipment, Piping, Structural Steel, and E&I.
  • Experience supporting projects through both construction and commissioning phases.
  • Previous experience with Reformers and/or Fired Heaters is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of heater internals, coils, refractory systems, burner systems, and associated mechanical works is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large site teams in challenging project environments.
  • Strong planning, coordination, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when required by project circumstances.
